1. Учебный аспект: развитие речевого умения в диалогической и монологической форме;(лексических навыков чтения и говорения); развитие детально воспринимать информацию на слух.

2. Развивающий аспект: развивать способности к сравнению, обобщению, к догадке на основе прослушанного, развитие способности осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные речевые действия.

3. Воспитательный аспект: продолжить формирование навыков здорового образа жизни и навыков здоровой диеты питания.

Оборудование: аудиозапись, таблицы, функциональные опоры, карточки, пословицы:

I. Начало урока. Введение в тему, мотивация. (2-3 мин .)

T: Children, look at the slide! What do you think we are going to talk about when we look at it? (Учитель показывает коллаж , на котором расположены картинки, опираясь на которое можно говорить о ЗОЖ)

T: What words and expressions we use speaking about this topic?

T: You are right. So today we have a discussion about a healthy lifestyle and now the tasks of our lesson. We will speak about three main things of a healthy lifestyle: about healthy food, sport and the positive emotions. During our lesson we are going to come to the main rules for keeping fit.

Teacher : The topic of our lesson today is Healthy Living Guide

The motto of our lesson is «Health is above wealth»

Do you agree with this proverb? What does it mean?

Student 1 : It means that health is the dearest thing for a person.

Student 2: I think that we can buy many things but we can’t buy health.

Teacher: Right you are. So, today we’ll talk about health and healthy living

guide. There are some proverbs about health. Look ……

Teacher : Dear students, please open your books at page 105 and say what bad habits is exercise 4 about.

Please using table of exercise 4 tell us what bad habits cause, make and affect

Student 3 : To my mind taking drugs is a very bad habit. It causes blood disease, brain disease, slow reactions, loss of memory and death.

Student 4: I feel sorry for people who take drugs, because it’s really a bad habit.

Teacher: What measures should we take against bad habits?

Student 1: We should ban smoking at schools, in offices and on transport.

Student 2 : Our authorities should ban cigarettes’ and alcohol’s ads on TV and radio.

Student 3: Our authorities should put into prison those who spread and sell drugs.

— Before listening take these tables, please .

Listening you must put “plus” opposite some ideas.

For example, doctor has said about vitamins. You must put “plus” opposite this idea.

Last year smoking, drinking alcohol, taking drugs received a lot of bad publicity in GB. We put into prison for taking drugs. Also we take money for smoking and drinking alcohol. Many companies have stopped smoking and drinking alcohol in their offices. There are special smoker`s carriadges on trains. Cigarette and drinking advertising is banned on TV and radio.

Doctor. You must not have bad habits because it is so dangerous for our health. Make exercises, go in for sport, take vitamins, eat fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. I wish you to be healthy, wealthy and wise.

Sportsman. I am an Olympic champion. Sport is my life. It is very necessary for me to exercise my body constantly. Many times ago I said “no” any cigarettes, any drinking and drugs. Follow my example and be healthy.

— What has Judge ( doctor, sportsman) said about?

Student 1 : Dear classmates! Never smoke, because smoking is bad for your health.

Student 2: Dear boys! Don’t smoke, because it is smell affects the whole class. Student 3: Dear friends! Never take drugs, it’s dangerous for you lives. Student 4: Drinking alcohol causes heart and brain diseases, slow reactions and leads to degradation. The 2nd page will be “Sport in Our Life”( Which of the arguments will you use to convince your friends to keep fit?)

To be healthy in your life,

Don’t forget to do all five,

Get up early, quick and bright,

Exercise with all your might.

In the morning jump and run,

Eat your breakfast you’ve done,

Train your body, train your brain,

And all bad habits pass away.

I. The beginning of the lesson .

Teacher : Today we are going to discuss the most important problem of our life — our health. Why is this problem the most important nowadays? What’s your opinion?

— There are a lot of different diseases;

— Unfortunately, about 80% of pupils living school have health problems.

II. Choosing of the motto .

People of different nations have proverbs about health which underline the importance of health. Let’s remember some of them:

  1. Early to bed early to rise

Makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

  1. An apple a day keeps a doctor away.
  2. You are what you eat.
  3. Eat to live, not live to eat.

Teacher: What proverb can we choose as a motto of our lesson?

Teacher: On the contrary good habits promote our health. What are they?

Pupils: Eating healthy food, regular meals, sleeping 7-8 hours, doing morning exercising, playing sport.

Teacher: So, to stay healthy for a long time we should have good habits and to avoid bad ones.

3. Eating habits.

Teacher: Now let’s discuss another thing which influences our fit – the food we eat. “We are what we eat” the proverb says. Pupils, what food do you prefer to eat?

Teacher: Pupils, are you sure that food you usually eat is good for your health? Listen to Dr. Amy Murphy’s lecture about healthy eating and answer what food is good for our health.

In order to stay healthy it is important to have a balanced diet – in other words, food that contains something from each of the three main groups of food. These groups are protein, fat , and carbohydrates .

You find protein in lots of food, for example meat , fish , nuts , cheese and milk . It helps your body to grow and to be healthy and it gives you energy. Fat gives you energy but don’t eat a lot – it’s bad for you. There are a lot of fatty foods that come from animals, for example milk , cheese , butter and meat .

Carbohydrates give you more than 70% of your energy . Bread , pasta , cereals , fruits, and vegetables such as potatoes and cabbage all contain lots of carbohydrates.

Fruits, vegetables, beans and nuts , brown bread all have fibre. It doesn’t give you energy but it fills your stomach when you are hungry.

There are many different vitamins and minerals. They help our body be healthy . You can get all your vitamins and minerals from fresh fruit and vegetables.

— I’m glad that you are all fine!

Some people are healthy, some people are unhealthy. The English people say: “Health is the best wealth”. They are right! We can’t buy health, but we can do a lot to keep it.

By the way, what do people do to be healthy?

— They go in for sports.

— They eat healthy food.

— They lead a regular way of life.

— They spend much time outdoors.

— They keep to a diet.

— They consult the doctor to prevent illness, etc.

So, today we’ll speak about our health, about what we should do to be. During the lesson you’ll get a chance to check your knowledge of the topic and gain the experience of speaking in front of the class, using your vocabulary, text, our computer presentation, film.

My name is N. I am a seventh-former. Not long ago I began to smoke. Certainly on the one hand I know that smoking is dangerous. And I don’t like the taste of cigarettes. But on the other hand my classmates called me names, and I want to look more grown-up than I really am. I think that smoking adds something to my image – I am classy. Well, can you help me to realize what should I do?

Reading. So, it’s good to have healthy habits. What healthy habits do you know? Some people believe that the number thirteen brings bad luck. But instead, today, the number thirteen is going to bring you health! And now look through the text “Thirteen healthy habits”, underline these habits in the text, please!

Some people believe that the number thirteen brings bad luck. But instead, today, the number thirteen is going to bring you health!

Healthy habit number one: eat breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast can help people feel better through the day. And, children who eat breakfast usually do better at school! A good breakfast includes fruits, vegetables, and grains.

Healthy habit number two: eat fish. The American Health Association suggests eating fish two times each week.

Healthy habit number three: sleep enough. Poor sleep quality can affect our memory and learning. Experts advise getting at least seven hours of sleep a night.

Healthy habit number four: make social connections. Spending time with other people can also improve help. An active mind is a healthy mind!

Healthy habit number five: exercise. Exercise is very important for good health. It helps control a person’s body weight. Exercising also helps grow healthy muscles, bones, and joints. It reduces the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes. Exercising reduces the risk of death from heart diseases. Exercise helps people to think and move better. It helps manage stress, improves emotions, and gives people lots of energy!

Healthy habit number six: care for your teeth. Research shows that taking care of your teeth can add over six years to your life! So remember to wash, brush and clean between your teeth!

Healthy habit number seven: have a hobby. A hobby is something that you enjoy doing. It could be running, reading or making something with your hands. Hobbies help people to relax and rest. Hobbies bring us joy.

Healthy habit number eight: protect your skin. The sun produces ultraviolet, or UV rays. These rays can harm our skin.

Healthy habit number nine: eat healthy between meals. Eating between meals is called snacking. Many people snack on unhealthy foods — foods that are high in sugar, salt or fat. Fruits and vegetables are a better choice. Remember an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Healthy habit number ten: drink water. Our bodies are made of mostly water. In fact, our bodies are sixty to seventy percent water! Water helps our bodies work right. Water helps to clear our bodies of harmful waste materials. Eight glasses of water a day does a body good!

Healthy habit number eleven: drink tea.

Healthy habit number twelve: take a walk every day.

Healthy habit number thirteen: have a plan. So, the best way to be healthy is to make a plan.
